  • 100% UVA and UVB protection, UV400 rated
  • Polarised lenses to cut glare
  • Bendi range: a flexible frame designed to bend rather than snap
  • Impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses
  • 12 month warranty, because we know kids will be kids
Fit and sizing

This pair is from our Little band, sized for approximately 3 to 6 years.

Bands overlap deliberately at the edges. If your child is right on a boundary between two ages, either size is worth trying, a soft adjustable strap on the Baby and Little bands helps get the fit right.

UV protection explained

Around 40 to 50 percent of lifetime UV exposure happens before age 20, so the habits your child builds now matter for the long run.

Every pair of Speckles sunglasses blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays and carries a UV400 rating, full-spectrum protection rather than just tinted lenses.

Shipping and dispatch

Orders placed before 12pm AEST, Monday to Friday, are dispatched the same business day. Orders placed after 12pm, and on weekends and public holidays, are dispatched the next business day.

Free shipping on orders over $80 within Australia. See our Shipping Policy for delivery times by region.

Warranty and returns

Speckles sunglasses come with a 12 month warranty against manufacturing faults, because we know kids will be kids. If a frame breaks within 12 months of purchase from our website or an authorised Speckles stockist, we will replace it.

Changed your mind? Return an unworn, unused pair within 30 days of purchase for a refund. See our Returns Policy for full details.

12 Month Warranty

On every pair, because life with kids happens.

Why it matters

Around 40 to 50 percent of lifetime UV exposure happens before age 20.

That is why every pair blocks 100 percent of UVA and UVB. Little eyes are still developing, and good habits start early.

Sunglasses

Do young children really need sunglasses?

Yes. Children's eyes let in more UV than adults' do, and around 40 to 50 percent of a person's lifetime UV exposure happens before age 20. Every pair we make blocks 100% of UV.

What does UV400 mean?

The lens blocks light up to 400 nanometres, which covers essentially all UVA and UVB. It is a specification, not a marketing word. A dark tint on its own tells you nothing.

How do I choose the right size?

Use the age and fit guide on each product page. A good fit sits securely without pressing at the temples or slipping down the nose.
