Meet Archer 👏

Meet Archer 👏

We love every single one of our Patchers but the incredible story of little Archer has truly touched our hearts. His incredible mum, Apryl, let us share his story.

Archer was born at 28 weeks 1 day, weighing 2lbs 4oz and 15 inches long. He was born with Long Gap Esophageal Atresia (EA) type A, Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) and diagnosed Vacterl. Unfortunately, neither condition was caught on our anatomy scans, so not only was his prematurity a surprise, but his medical problems as well.

At 4 months old he transferred to Cincinnati Children's Hospital after his NICU team in Indianapolis felt they could no longer provide him with adequate care. Once in Cincinnati, Archer had a cardiac arrest, a 13 day stent on ECMO (heart lung bypass), numerous cath lab trips and had multiple major surgeries including one open heart on August 19th to repair his Tetralogy. Unfortunately, while on ECMO Archer suffered from seizures and stroke which caused severe brain injury. This lead to his diagnosis of CVI and eye weakness from the stroke. We're hoping patching will help his preferred left gaze and strengthen his eye sight.

As we all know, medical bills can stack up and be extremely expensive so Hide and See Patches has donated 6 months worth of patches to little Archer to help him on his tough journey ahead. 👏🏼

You can support Archer by following his journey on his Facebook page, Archer's Fight, raising awareness and by donating. We have included the link to his page in our bio!
