Meet Lizzy 👏
29 Aug 2022
Lizzy is 5 years old and has been patching since August 2021 when a routine StEPS (Statewide Eyesight Preschooler Screening) visit picked up a big difference between her vision in each eye. This is common in cases of Anisometropia and can cause the brain to rely on images from the stronger eye, leading to Amblyopia.
Her dad, Stephen pops her patches on in the morning for 2 hours to strengthen her weak eye and makes patching FUN by getting the whole family involved with a patch time dance party! 💃🎉
So far the patching has improved her sight. Way to go Lizzy!
