Meet Speckles superstar, Pippa, who is three years old ✨

Pippa's parents first noticed a turn in her eye when she was around 6 months old, which led to a check-up with their GP and a referral to a paediatric ophthalmologist. After monitoring her vision for about 12 months, the ophthalmologist decided it was time for glasses and diagnosed her with accommodative esotropia (a type of strabismus) and amblyopia.

6 months later, patching was introduced into Pippa's vision journey! She started with 1 hour a day, which has now been upped to 2 hours a day. 

Pippa's mum said she didn’t love wearing her patch at first, but now takes pride in picking her daily patch, whether it’s princesses or superheroes! She added, whenever we’re out and about and people ask about her patch, she loves telling them “Moana (or the character of the day) is making my eye stronger today” and showing off her patch boards to anyone who comes to visit our house!
