Meet Tahlia 👏
Tahlia's journey began at 6 months old when her mum, Maryke, noticed her right eye turning inwards and a slight head tilt, especially when tired. Trusting her instincts, Maryke sought expert advice, leading to the discovery that Tahlia has severe vision problems and nystagmus (where your eyes make rapid, uncontrolled movements).
👓 Now 10 months old and rocking her very first pair of glasses (with a prescription of +9 and +9.5), Tahlia is already showing incredible resilience!
🥹 Despite her challenges, this little superstar is meeting all her milestones, from playing with toys to starting to crawl 💪
Maryke, a registered nurse, admits feeling overwhelmed at first with all the information—but her dedication to Tahlia's milestones, sensory activities, and depth perception games shows just how incredible a parent she is.
🌟 Tahlia’s journey reminds us how important it is to follow our instincts as parents and that it's never too early to get your child's eyes checked!
Thank you, Maryke, for sharing your family’s inspiring story. 💖 If you’re a parent navigating a similar journey, remember, you’re not alone—this community is here to support you!
