Meet Gladys Atto, who was supported by Sightsavers while she trained to be an Ophthalmologist. Gladys spent 8 and a 1/2 years studying medicine and specialising in ophthalmology and she is passionate about providing eye care services to her community.

In October, our founder Maddy spent the weekend in Queensland catching up on all things eye at the 78th annual Orthoptics Australia conference. Speckles proudly exhibited at and sponsored the conference which featured talks on everything from wellbeing to orthoptic-led clinics.

At Speckles, we are big believers in equal access to eye care and treatment so that all children can see a brighter future. For World Sight Day we attended an online conference call to help develop a National Framework for Vision Screening for 3.5-5-year-olds at their schools.
