What we do
We make eye patches and sunglasses for children, and we make the guides, the language and the support that sit around them. Every product and every word is shaped by an orthoptist who sits with families every week.
We are here for the part that happens at home. The morning the patch goes on. The question at the school gate. This is support between appointments. It is never a replacement for the advice of your eye care professional.

Our Story
Speckles started in a clinic room. Maddy is an orthoptist, and she kept meeting the same moment. A family would be handed a diagnosis, a patch and a routine, then sent home to work out the rest on their own.
The patches were beige. The words were clinical. Children were told what was wrong with them before anyone told them what was wonderful about them.
So we built the thing that was missing. Products children choose for themselves, language that respects them, and guides that answer the questions families actually ask at seven in the morning.
Looking after the eyes of our future, and helping them feel good about how they see themselves and the world.
Why we say Curious Eye
Lazy says fault. Curious says wonder. The eye is still learning, and a child who hears the word lazy every week starts to believe it is about them.
So we retired it. We say Curious Eye. We say clearer eye and less clear eye, never stronger or weaker. Small words, said every day, add up to how a child sees themselves.
What we are fighting for
Vision screening in Australia is patchy. Where a child lives still shapes whether their eyes are checked before school, and the children who miss out are rarely the ones with the loudest advocates.
We think that is worth arguing about, publicly and often.
