Isabelle's vision journey began when she was 3.5 years old after a MIST (Melbourne Initial Screening Test) at her maternal and child health appointment picked up that her left eye is significantly more far-sighted. She started patching at age 4 after seeing an optometrist and was prescribed glasses with continued patching after seeing an orthoptist and ophthalmologist 😮‍💨

Her mum, Robyn, said, "We had a lot of resistance when we started patching with a simple pirate patch, but all that went away when we bought these patches... Isabelle loves the beautiful designs and is so happy to pick a different patch each day. We have Disney Princesses, Unicorn World and Fantasy packs on the go at the moment."

Isabelle wears her patch for two hours each day while doing activities that help strengthen her curious eye, like puzzles, memory games, colouring and activity books. She is so happy in her Speckles eye patch that she will often just do her usual playing, go for rides around on her scooter and bike, and even wear her patch to kinder.
