Beauden is 5 years old, he has been wearing patches for 1 month now, after being diagnosed with Amblyopia and Esotropia (a condition where one or both eyes turn inwards).

His mum, Kaela said "In the beginning, he was not happy about having to wear the patch as he wouldn't look "cool" however after finding your patches and finding the pirate patch we used that to our advantage. It is so nice to have interactive patches rather than the boring brown ones as Beauden would say". 🥳

Now when the patch is on Beauden is a pirate! 🏴‍☠️He has a pirate sword and a pirate treasure box that his parents hide for him to find, along with pirate chocolate money that helps with their treasure hunts! Kaela said every day is getting easier and he is becoming more confident which is what we LOVE to hear 🙌

He likes to spend his patch time doing flips and tricks on the trampoline and can even ride his bike with his patch on now too!
