Meet Benji 👏

Benji is 2 years old and has been patching since August due to severe myopia, caused by premature birth. This little warrior was born at 25 weeks of gestation, weighing only 550 grams. Due to his low birth weight, he had to fight extra hard and was placed on ventilation for the first 6 months of his life. Benji has medical trauma and sensory issues so, his mum Hazel said their first time putting on a patch was a nightmare 😬
Given that he LOVES @thewiggles so much, Hazel told Benji the eye patches were sent as a special present from Captain Feathersword. Benji loves all the designs and choosing which patch he wants to pop on each day. He wants, opens it himself, takes off the sticker himself and lies down so Mum can put it on. Hazel says the reward chart is a bonus and makes patching extra FUN 🫶
