Jack was born with a unilateral cataract and had it removed at just 9 weeks old. His powerhouse mum Emma, pops his patch on first thing in the morning, taking it off in the afternoon after 5 to 6 hours. Jack has his good days and his bad days, like any young patcher would.

Emma says Jack has an amazing optometrist who has been a constant source of support and info. They have been incredible throughout their whole journey, through deciding on surgery and surgeons and directing Emma to the cataract kids Australia Facebook group. She says they wouldn’t have known where to find info if it wasn’t for that.
